Quality = Ländle Milch

Kuh, Vorarlberg Milch

Natural and traditional

The long agricultural tradition of Vorarlberg and the splendid nature between Arlberg and Lake Constance are the best possible requirements for natural dairy products of an outstanding quality. Happy cows graze on succulent meadows to give us top-grade raw milk, which we then process with due care. The result is the wonderfully natural taste of Ländle dairy products – a valuable addition to your daily diet.

Animal welfare

The health of our dairy cows is a high priority to us. Only cows that receive regular health checks can produce milk to the high quality standards of Ländle Milch products. This means: all cows spend at least 120 days per year in loose housing, open-air areas or on pastures.

Labor, Vorarlberg Milch

Control

Quality assurance starts with the farmers, whose duties range from animal welfare to appropriate feeding and milking systems. The milking plant transports the milk directly into the closed cold chain, where it undergoes multiple controls throughout its entire production process. At the milk tanker, automatic samples are taken in order to measure the fat and protein content along with the amount of germs, cells and inhibitors in the milk. In a dedicated laboratory, the quality management department verifies that all the strict guidelines were upheld during the individual processing steps. This guarantees that our customers can enjoy their Ländle dairy products every day, knowing that they are consuming dairy of the highest possible quality and freshness.

IFS, Vorarlberg Milch

IFS certification

The IFS (International Food Standard) was established in 2003 as a quality and food-safety standard for own-label brands in the retail sector. It facilitates standardised controls of food safety and quality standards at the site of production and has become an established quality seal for industrial and own-label brands alike.

IFS Food is an auditing standard for companies that process food products or package loose food products. The current version 6 of the IFS Food is a joint project of the German, French and Italian retail associations.

Vorarlberg milk is IFS-certified at version 6 – “higher level”.
